Long time old friends,
Don’t worry. I can hear you saying ‘New email addy, whose dis?’ Makes sense, been a while. It’s your favorite poet, public speaker, spoken word artist, writer: Suli Breaks. I’m here to welcome you to the UOSB (which stands for University of…. long-time fans, you know the rest.)
We all have those friends. The ones you haven’t seen for years, but every time you link up it feels like no time has passed. So consider this the equivalent of me finding an old phone, scrolling through the contact list, and remembering that friend who I haven’t messaged for a while; I hope you are blessed? If you follow me on social media, I guess you will know that I’ve stayed busy. A few minor —I’m pretending to be humble — highlights this year.
So I helped write the project that announced Meta (formerly known as Facebook) to the entire planet! You can watch it below (wait till the end).
Voiced and wrote some ‘stuff,’ a four-episode short film with Patta and Nike.
Featured in, voiced, and wrote more stuff for my first ever Youtube Original collaboration. A moving, celebrity-filled film called, The Outsiders. It’s six episodes long, so you will need time, and maybe a tissue for the tears.
Anyone, following me on Twitter or Instagram should be familiar with my threads on love and marriage. I got invited by Bumble (I am NOT on the dating app, obviously lol) to speak on a panel about it. My Twitter threads have taken off like crazy. So eight thousand plus words, over three hundred pages later, as of Dec 8th, 2021 there is a first draft on my kitchen table of a novel about marriage. Who knows where that will lead?
All this, and I was fortunate enough to still find time to jump on my channel, & share my thoughts on difficult subjects.
Anyway, back to the point of all this, a newsletter was never something I planned, but it’s a dope way to stay in contact, so I launched theuosb before the year ends. I will try & update you guys with writings, recommendations, creative inspirations, and video.
In the meantime, would be cool to know who is in the building. Comment where you are from, and when you discovered my work (feel free to include your favs)!

I'm Nannim from Nigeria. Your works always stood out for me so I choose to stick. I wish you well.
Name is Chasity and I’m from a small province in Canada 🇨🇦 I used to write poetry all the time and I first heard you speak on YouTube years ago, think it was the ‘chasing the American Dream’ and I was so blown away and fascinated with the way you speak and the way your writing comes together. Beautiful work! I don’t use any social media so I lost contact of your work there for awhile. And just recently I started journaling again and came across your page. Been reading everything you post since. Keep up the great work! ☺️ Big fan here!
